Development and Programming

The beating heart of production at FIM-FAOS is our engineering department, which plays a key role in ensuring the precision and reliability of machining. Thanks to a team of highly skilled professionals and the use of state-of-the-art software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks, we are able to develop and fabricate any metal structure-particularly industrial bases-from technical drawings provided by the customer (in formats such as STEP, DXF, PDF or others).

The design phase is followed with great care to ensure efficient and accurate management of the production process. Each part is dismantled, studied and optimized according to the customer's specific needs. Our carpentry warehouse is among the most well-stocked in the area, and it holds multiple types of iron and steel (sections, rounds, squares, threaded rods, pipes, beams, square tubes, and more), which will then be cut, welded, and machined directly in our workshop.

The engineering department does not only design, but also follows production. The engineering department and workshop are located in the same building: this allows our engineers, technicians and designers to directly monitor machining, especially in the early stages, to ensure that every detail meets standards. In addition, at FIM-FAOS we frequently work on prototypes and parts in unit quantities, in order to refine the production process in close dialogue with the customer, before starting series.

Our continuous improvement-oriented approach and direct collaboration between the engineering department and the workshop enable us to offer our customers high-quality solutions, optimizing production time and costs.
